Well, this week started out with a bang…. no literally. After we finished a
run down to the river Chile, we came back up to the church to play some soccer,
like always! We were playing for like 20 minutes, when my Zone Leader went to
save the ball from going out of bounds. Running at full speed, he saved the
ball, but then went into a wall in full stride five feet from the line. He threw
up his arms, but it was too late! I watched all of it! BANGGGGG!!!!!!!!!! Yup,
that one hurt!

I saw him touch his head where he hit, and there was blood! While others ran
towards him, I ran to the bathroom to get him some towels! When I came back, he
was sitting on the step! Some other missionaries were scared and telling him it
looked bad! Obviously, they haven’t been in Boy Scouts! In that moment, it all
came back to me! All the memories from Scouts! Shock, head wrap, and all! It was
definitely the Spirit helping me remember! Can’t deny it.

He didn’t remember anything, and kept asking what happened! It was all in
English! And because I was the best with English and Spanish in the zone, I
helped him through all of it! We got a taxi and headed to the emergency room.
Trying to keep him calm was probably the hardest thing! He was way out of it.
Even now, he doesn’t remember when he hit the wall, nor the taxi, nor the
hospital too well. But he is getting better, because he couldn’t even remember
the year he was born, when we were in the taxi! Overall, he got 6 stitches, his
arm in a cast, and a gnarly black eye! A fractured skull, and some memory loss
to go along with it! Nothing too bad…I stayed with him all the night in the
ER, and did some long division!

The reality is, I don’t know how my area well is because I’ve hardly been in it!

To some better things that happened this week: I bought a sick suit last week as
well! Navy blue! We had a sick “Iron Rod” activity where the missionaries
planned everything! We got 100 or so people to attend, and they had a blast! We
used pvc pipe as the iron rod, and used the rooms of the chapel to act as
distractions! Our room was the last, and it was casino themed! I think that I
took after my Mom here, because it was so well decorated! We pulled a good half
of the people off of the rod! We had it all, from a subwoofer to darts! I
personally liked the money hanging off of the roof! Them bills! Eventually, they
all ended up at a Christmas tree that was representing the “Tree of Life!” Then
we ended it all with a testimony meeting, and refreshments! It was such a blast!
