What an eventful week we have had! The first part of the week started off with a chicken pox epidemic that has been hitting almost every person here in our ward! All of the kids have seemed to bring home some sort of chicken pox virus with them! The attendance in the ward this Sunday was a little pathetic as well! I’m sure a lot had to do with the flu/epidemic! Because we were missing people in the Sacrament Meeting, this also meant that we were missing teachers for Primary and Sunday School. So another gringo missionary, named Elder Beiler, and I taught the Valiant class! It was kinda fun, but without the preparation, it made it a little more difficult! We taught about how Joseph followed the example of what Jesus would do when he forgave his brothers for selling him into bondage! He didn’t retaliate, or get mad at them! He loved them just as Christ would!
Did you ever think how being poor really gives you some benefits!? There isn’t as much to pack when we have to move on changes (transfers) or anything! Speaking of changes, our penchion just moved down the street, and they don’t really have anything, so we basically finished their move in 20 minutes! Advantages of being poor! It’s not like in the ward at home, where it’s at least a two day project with all the stuff people have for us to move! Or like every Saturday morning at home, with phone calls asking to use my “services,” or in other words: Big Red’s tow/moving service!
Other than being the normal trunky that has kicked in lately, it’s been going great! That’s for everything! Have fun this week! elder mcpherson
